The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Regulations came into force on the 1st July 2006. These Regulations implement Directive 2002/95/EC.
This Regulation places responsibility on producers to ensure that the amounts of specified chemicals, known or believed to adversely impact on the environment, contained in products are within specified limits.
